The angle that the fastshim cuts shims at is 2.25 degrees.
Your fence should be set between 2-1/2" and 2-7/8" away from the saw blade. You will have to make slight adjustments to dial in your saw and fence.
Your blade should be set at approximately 1-9/16" high.
You must flip the piece of wood in between uses. Please watch this video guide before use: fastshim instruction video
You guys should make a version to cut shims less than 3/4 wide. That's all our shop uses. We can shim up an end panel that's 3/4 and cut off the excess and it'll hide. Can't do that with 2x4 shims.
Glue a piece of 3/4” wood on top of the Fast Shim and you can cut ¾” shims!
