Are any of your real wood Fastcaps rift cut, and if not can you get a different cut?
No, none of our Fastcaps are rift cut and unfortunately we are not able to get a different cut because of the large quantity we would have to order.
How thick are your Fastedge and Fastcaps?
Our material thicknesses including the adhesive are as follows: PVC= .025" Unfinished Real Wood= .035" Prefinished Real Wood= .028".
I am purchasing FastEdge for the first time. Is it better to buy a width that is bigger than the edge I am applying it to or should I buy the exact width I need?
It is best to buy a width a little wider than what you need so it is quick and easy to apply to the edge and trim it without having to stress about lying it down exactly right. We also strongly recommend watching ALL of our FastEdge videos. Our videos are just a few minutes long and by the time you're done watching them, you'll be a FastEdge pro in no time!
I just applied Fastedge to my project and there is adhesive oozing from the sides. How do I clean this up??
You must be very careful when you are trying to clean excess adhesive off when using any kind of chemical, because you run the risk of causing the FastEdge adhesive to fail and start curling up on the sides. Try using a razorblade to carefully scrape the excess adhesive.
I need to match a laminate for my project. Can you help me find a match to your Fastcaps and Fastedge.

I have one of your old Virutex trimmers and I need new blades, will the Quad Trimmer blades work on the old trimmer?

How thick is your SpeedTape?
Our SpeedTape is the thickest double sided adhesive on the market at 5.5 mils thick.
How does 2P-10 stand up in a wet environment like on a boat. Can it be submerged in water?
Thank you for your question and FastCap apologizes for the delay in giving you a quicker answer! All of our 2P-10 products are able to be submerged in water, but the adhesive must be completely bonded and DRY beforehand. All of our adhesives would work fine within a boat setting if applied correctly. You must make sure that both surfaces are dry and clear of debris before application and we also recommend that you use our 2p-10 activator to speed up the cure time.
Is there a product that will delay the bonding of the 2P-10 to allow more open time when gluing two sheets of glass together?
The 2P-10 jel has a longer open time, up to about a 1/2 hour. If your using the thick or medium it about 10-15 min. We have nothing to delay the open time but you can always have it sit in a cool dry area. Please call us with any other questions at 1-888-443-3748.
What is the open time for 2P10?
For medium, thick and jel adhesives, give it 1/2 hour before it starts to harden. the jel's open time tends to be longer because it is much thicker.
Does the 3rd Hand come with a manual or have I lost it?
No, we don't have a manual for the 3rd Hand, but we have tons of great videos online that you can watch. Click here.
I lost my little black 3" X 3" articulating feet for my 3rd Hand, can I buy some extras?

Is there a warranty for your Third Hand line? I have one where the ball detent shared off. It's less than a year old and was only used as a temporary wall while spraying,i.e. no subtantial loads were placed on it.

I've broken the plastic "pump" handle. Can I purchase a replacement part?
Yes! All of our products are 100% guaranteed! Our 3rd hand handles are very complicated to put back on, so what we do is just send you out a whole new 3rd hand for your convienience and you don't even need to return the broken one. How can I buy some replacement Micro-adjustable articulating bottom foot pads for my 3rd hand?

When I recieved my 3rd hand it came with one small pad and one large Big Foot Accessory. Should it have come with two small foot pads and not one. How can I get a second small foot pad? I purchased it from Duluth Trading Co.

The blade on my Artisan Plane has gotten dull, do you have replacement blades?

Does the FastPatch work to seal holes in hot tub lids?
Yes! It definitely does! The humidity doesn't even affect it at all! Open or closed, the FastPatch will seal any hole in your hot tub lid without any problems! Plus, you can barely even see it!
How well do Power Head Screws fasten to MDF board? Do I have to pre-drill?
Power Head Screws will fasten to MDF boards, and there is no need to pre-drill. However, it is recommended to test drilling a screw into a sample piece of MDF before beginning the final project. Depending on the manufacturer of the MDF board, varying amounts of glue are used in different boards. If a large amount of glue is used in the board, there is a greater chance that the board will crack and/or develop a bump when the screw is drilled into the board. If the tested area does crack or bump, it is recommended in this case to pre-drill.
The center spring of my tape measure snapped and broke. Can I get a new spring to fix it?

There is an oily substance coming from my tape measure. Is it harmful and how do I clean it?
The substance coming from your tape measure is a plasticizer, and it is not harmful. This might happen over time, but we are more than happy to replace your tape measure. I have a Flatback 16' Pro Carpenter tape measure that is about a month old. The main lock will not hold the blade in place, while the one on the bottom works fine. I bought two of these tapes and the other one works fine. I was wondering, is there a warranty.

Can I install the Speedbraces more than 16" apart?
You can do 32" on center, but it really depends on the type of material you are using as the shelf, countertop, etc.. When weight is applied and the material sags inbetween the braces, the Speedbraces will twist and ultimately will fail. As long as there is no sag inbetween each Speedbrace, and you install into studs, they will still hold up to 1000 lbs.
