"Must-Have for My Shop"
Review: I had a small shop vacuum that had a Bluetooth remote, and it constantly turned itself on. I've since changed vacs and added this remote and it has worked flawlessly for 9 months now. My only gripe would be the button is a bit sensitive and I've activated the vacuum a couple of times by just bumping into the remote attached to the hose. Not a big enough problem to warrant a lower rating by me, though.
"Junk"
Review: The warning about it should have CLEAR BEFORE I bought it at the Woodcraft store and plugged it in to the dust collector. The dust collector was rated at 15 amps and the RCV was rated at 15amps. Is there a way to reset it?<br>

<strong>Response: </strong>Unfortunately, the Remote Control Vacuum will not work with dust collectors. Even if dust collectors are rated to run at 15amps. When they turn on or are under strain, they will pull more amperage and the internal parts of the RCV cannot handle the surge. I apologize if the wording on the packaging did not make this clear. We will be updating the packaging to make it more clear.
I would be happy to replace your RCV. But remember, it works with your smaller equipment like shop vacs.

Review: FastCap you are the Best!
Your RCV is a Terrific idea. I use it attached to the end of a vac hose, attached to my wrist, and in my shirt pocket to keep it cleanwhen removing black carbon soot. I Love It.
However --- the on/off button is to Easily bumped sometimes causing the the vac to turn on or off at inconvenient times. Any chance of adding a Raised Ring to the plastic case that would surround the button and help prevent accidental activation?

Review: I got this to help with my small shop. I work out of a 1 car garage and sometimes when I plug in the vacuum I have to walk out the back and all the way around to the front to turn on the vacuum and then all the way back round to the back and then start cutting. So now I put the switch on my wrist and no matter where I go I can turn the vacuum on.

Review: I have one of those boxes that you plug your tools into then your vac. and it turns on automatically when the tool turns on. The problem with that is when you change tools. When I change the vac. hose to a different tool now, the on-off switch is right there at the end of the hose. Great thinking. I used the vac. just the other day while putting in new flooring trim. I didn't get up from the floor once to turn vac. on or off. Thanks for saving my old knees.

Review: This is such a stupid simple choice to make: $30 vs. $50 for exactly the same level of function and utility. A great product category gee, who doesn't want to stop running laps to the dust collector/vac? but this goes a step further by directly meeting and beating competing products on their own playing field.

"Exactly what I wanted"
Review: I have had the problem for a long time of being in a tight place like inside a car(during restoration process) and other recessed areas where you're working and it's desirable to control the vac at the hose end. Love the RCV! Works great, fits my hose well.

"Composite Airplane Builder"
Review: I have been building my composite kit airplane in my garage for over 9 years now. Just recently I received this remote control switch from FastCap and what an amazing improvement when operating my shop vac! My ability to grab the hose and turn on/off the vacuum without having to constantly bend over or change positions is something I could not live without going forward. Thanks FastCap!
